Knights Fish Fry continues Friday

The Stephenville Knights of Columbus continue their annual Lenten Fish Fry this Friday at Newman Hall. Due to the pandemic, this year’s event will be only TO GO orders. Cars should enter off Washington Street on the East side of St.

March 5 At 2:16 p.m. a man on a bicycle was hit and killed by a vehicle on FM 219 North near CR 373. March 6 At 2:51 a.m. five dead wild pigs were illegally dumped on FM 219 North. At 1:07 p.m. a skid steer caught on fire along with grass on FM 2481. At 2:47 p.m.

A BBQ benefit and auction is set Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Broken Bronc Cowboy Church to benefit the Auvenshine family, who is starting over after a house fire resulted in a total loss of home and possessions.

As rains lifted Saturday afternoon, crowds gathered at the Dublin City Park Arena for the St. Patrick’s Day Rodeo. A total of 150 people paid to get in the gates not counting kids under 9 or contestants in the day’s events such as breakaway roping and mutton busting.

Death reported following vaccine

Erath County Judge Alfonso Campos reported that a person who received a COVID-19 vaccine at the Erath County Vaccination Center on Tuesday, March 9 died later that day. The recipient was reportedly a woman in her 50’s.

Dublin decides to continue masks

Dublin ISD has decided to continue requiring all students and staff to wear facemasks for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The decision followed gathering input from the school administration, medical response team and looking into the decisions of neighboring school districts.
