Simply Dangerous may not be an event everyone is familiar with, but for more than eight years the western gala has acted as a way to earn money for the Children’s Miracle Network and Cook Children’s Hospital.This year’s 9th annual event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb.

The Greens Creek Methodist Church, currently affiliated with Global Methodist Church, is recognizing their 150th anniversary on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026.The community is invited to join the congregation for Sunday service at 9 a.m. followed by brunch at 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Editor’s note: This is a first person account of a fire that occurred over the weekend.An accidental spark from welding equipment ignited dry grass Saturday afternoon, setting off a fast-moving fire that ultimately burned more than 90 acres of pastureland outside Dublin.
