DHS to host hundreds in meets

Dublin is set to host dozens of school in upcoming district and area track meets, according to Dublin Athletic Director Bob Cervetto. This will start with the District 8-3A Track and Field meet, starting with field events at 10 a.m. on March 31 and April 1. (Running prelims will start at 2 p.m.

FCA picks locals

More than 300 of the area’s top athletes representing 73 high schools have been selected to participate in the Big Country Chevy Dealers 2021 FCA All-Star Festival, including several athletes from Dublin and Lingleville.

Lions named All-District

Eight 2020-2021 Dublin Lions Basketball boys received post-season District 8-3A honors last week, recognizing their effort and accomplishments throughout the season, which ended with the team being named Area Champions after besting Wall 57-55.

Four Lingleville Lady Cardinals claimed All-District honors, recognizing their efforts and accomplishments in the 2020-2021 season which ended with the team as Area Champions.

Hicks named WAC Freshman of Year

Tarleton Men’s Basketball put a stamp on its inaugural Division I season with four Texans honored by the Western Athletic Conference with end-of-season awards. Freddy Hicks headlined the Texan award winners taking home the WAC Freshman of the Year honor.
