Dublin Secondary hosted eight schools in the District 8-3A track meet on March 31 and April 1, with several of its athletes placing high and advancing to Regionals. The boys varsity team took third place while the boys junior varsity took second overall.

Lingleville High School claimed top honors at the 1A District 19 UIL Academic Meet and is sending several students to Regional competition. The accomplished students were recognized in a special assembly Monday where Principal Dee Cee McDougal and their sponsor presented them with their medals.

The Tarleton Football program has announced the date and location of the 36th annual Bobby Fox Golf Tournament to benefit the Texan Football program. The event is set for Friday, April 23 at Canyon West Golf Club in Weatherford.
