Body

BROWNWOOD

Water stained; 66 degrees; 1.70 low. Largemouth bass are good in coves, along grass lines and timber in 2-12 feet with frogs, bladed spinners, crankbaits, and finesse jigs. Crappie are good on minnows in brush piles, near bridge pilings, and in the creeks. White bass and hybrids are excellent on spoons, swimbaits, and live bait on the main lake channel, humps, and ridges. Look for birds diving over feeding schools of white bass. Catfish are excellent on cut bait, chicken liver, and live bait in 3-10 feet depth.

GRANBURY

Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 0.15 low. Largemouth bass are good on poppers, crankbaits, lizards, and football jigs in 4-12 feet near docks, shorelines, rocky points, and coves. Crappie fishing is good around boat docks and bridge pilings with minnows and jigs. Catfishing is good with chicken liver, cut bait, and punch bait. Stripers are good with live bait along the main lake channel in 30-45 feet.

POSSUM KINGDOM

Water clear; 67 degrees; 0.29’ low. Largemouth bass are good with emerging topwater. Use worms and small crankbaits with rocks being first and drops being second. Crappie are fair on jigs using boat docks and along the shady side of cliffs in the afternoons. White bass are fair on Alabama rigs still working deep around 16-18 feet. Striped bass are slow. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.

PROCTOR

Water muddy, 66 degrees; 4.35 high. Largemouth bass are fair on frogs, buzz baits, and crankbaits near main lake points, coves, and shorelines in 3-15 feet. Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake, around 35-45 feet. Crappie are fair with minnows near timber and brush near a channel or drop off. Catfish are good on chicken liver, cut bait, and earthworms.

WEATHERFORD

Water lightly stained; 64 degrees; 0.03 low. Largemouth bass are good on frogs, bladed spinners, skirted jigs, crankbaits, and top waters near shorelines, fallen timber, and creeks; White bass are good on slabs and swimbaits. Crappie are good on minnows around docks, creeks, and submerged cover. Catfish are good on chicken liver, punch bait, and cut bait.

WHITNEY

Water stained; 62 degrees; 2.67 high. Black bass are good on chatter baits, crankbaits, Texas-rigged plastic worms, and skirted jigs. White bass are excellent along the main lake channel, flats, and humps with jigging spoons and slabs. Stripers are good with live bait along the main lake river channel edges in 30-45 feet. Crappie are excellent with minnows and jigs in timber, creek channels, and brush piles. Catfish are excellent on chicken liver and cut bait.
