BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water slightly stained; 85-86 degrees; 7.44 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.38 pounds are fair on Jigs, shaky heads, swimbaits and glides in 2-15 feet of water early and late in the day. Crappie are slow in brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-18 feet of water.

Dublin Lions captains walked in for the coin toss with a #75 jersey in honor of Eddie Hernandez who would have been a senior this year. Hernandez was killed in a vehicle accident in 2022.

With a full agenda, the Erath County Commissioners Court approved its budget, tax rate and levy, Monday, Sept. 11. The tax rate was approved at $0.3947 per $100 valuation, a rate below the voter approval rate and above the no new revenue rate. The tax rate represents a 4.

The Dublin EDC recently approved its budget and a host of grants at its recent meeting. Current assets for the EDC, as of June 30 are $331,405.27 and their projected revenue – sales tax is $207,443.99 for a total of $538,849.26 for assets and projected revenues.

Seniors Sulmara Gonzalez and Jeffrey Cervantes were named as the Homecoming Queen and King for Dublin High School on Friday, Sept. 8.

After 79 years, six months and three days, World War II veteran and Dublin graduate Noel Shoup has now been laid to rest. Shoup, who was a 1936 graduate from Dublin High School, was considered Missing In Action/Killing in Action after his plane went down Feb.
