Dublin Garden Club provides three scholarships to DHS seniors

The Dublin Garden Club held its regular monthly meeting, May 13, in the home of Janice Reeder.The club was able to provide three $500 scholarships, made possible by its fund raising efforts and generous donations.The three recipients are Hayden Milburn, Emma Mitchell, and Olivia Salyer.

Pursuit through multiple towns leads to arrest

A person was arrested after making threats at multiple Stephenville businesses, ultimately ending after a vehicle pursuit.Ricky George Byrd was arrested on charges of terroristic threat, evading in a vehicle and a variety of warrants.

From Staff Reports Dublin’s downtown branch of Bank of Houston is now City Bank after South Plains Financial, Inc. (headquartered in Lubbock) the parent company of City Bank announced the completion of the merger of BOH Holdings, Inc. with and into South Plains.

UDC honors veterans

The Major George B. Erath Chapter (Stephenville) of the United Daughters of the Confederacy honored seven veterans on April 26.“The UDC feel it is honor to thank our veterans for all they have done for our Country,” said Sheran Weible of the George B. Erath chapter.

Tarleton Ag building largest PUF project in university history

Tarleton State University has received approval for $100 million in Permanent University Fund (PUF) support to construct a new Agricultural Sciences Building, marking the largest PUF project in the institution’s history.
