Rabies reported in Erath County

The Erath County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Texas Department of Health of a positive rabies exposure in the area of County Road 230.Several puppies were located near the Erath/Hood county line which were moved to an address near County Road 230 prior to testing positive.

Young (Pee Wee) was born on June 20, 1926 in Odessa and recently celebrated his 100th birthday!After graduating high school, he became a firefighter for the city of Odessa.During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy and traveled across the Pacific six times on an aircraft carrier.
