Precinct 3 County Commissioner Sherman Edwards was welcomed with open arms at his first commissioners court meeting Monday, June 24 as a packed agenda was swiftly moved through.Edwards was appointed to take over Precinct 3 in mid-June after sitting commissioner Joe Brown resigned for retirement.

July 4th events set

A slew of events are headed to Erath County and the surrounding area as Independence Day approaches.The city of Stephenville will be hosting its annual Stars over Stephenville – a Fourth of July Celebration Thursday, July 4.The parade will kick off at 9 a.m.

Slight sales tax increase seen in April due to Eclipse traffic

Dublin sales tax collections were up in April at 6.69%, compared to April 2023, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of April, Dublin received $45,960.19, compared to $43,075.90 in April 2023.
