Comanche County Extension Agent Michael Berry received the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents (NACAA) during the 2024 Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Conference in Dallas, Texas on July 17.

Staff members received numerous give-a-ways from local businesses organized by volunteers and the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Students go back to school Thursday, Aug. 8. Businesses lined the walls with give-a-ways, free breakfast was served and teachers were appreciated as Dublin ISD kicked off the new school year with a Teacher Convocation.

Sales Tax holiday this weekend

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday this weekend - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. This will be the 25th year of Texas’ oldest sales tax holiday.

The 4th annual UPRA/CPRA sanctioned Dublin Rodeo is coming a little earlier when it opens on Friday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 17, but is offering the same evening of rodeo excitement that fans have come to love.
