Football camp set July 24-26

The Fun in the Sun Football camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. each morning on the DHS Bob and Norma Cervetto Field July 24-26 Camp fees are $25 per kid and include a t-shirt that will be handed out on July 26.Check-in will be held at the DHS auxiliary gym.

Dublin Dairy Queen is celebrating Miracle Treat Day Thursday, July 25 in a big way this year with lots of free fun.The event is in honor of the nationwide Miracle Treat Day in which $1 of every Blizzard sale goes to Cook Children’s Medical Center.

Dublin High School has picked Stacy Smith to head the One Act Play program and head theatre director as former director/ partner Pam Kasinger moves to head the Brownwood theatre program. Smith has been with the district for six years and this is his fourth with the program.

Price given state award for tending the nest

Dublin FFA advisor Darren Price received statewide recognition at the Texas FFA convention in Houston last week as he was named the Area 4 Golden Owl (or Teacher of the Year).Price, who has taught ag for nearly 35 years, was selected above hundreds of educators in the area for the distinction.
