DISD school board tackled Monday’s agenda in short order approving next year’s school calendar and a slew of employee contracts.The board chose between two calendars after feedback from district employees.

At 86, Dorothy Dunn Edwards is the oldest Black woman in Stephenville and as matriarch of the Edwards family she has contributed to a lasting legacy within the county.“It’s diversified some and everyone has been nice,” Mrs. Edwards said.

Sales tax significantly up for December

Dublin sales tax collections were significantly up in December, 35.77% compared to December 2023, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of December, Dublin received $81,893.29, compared to $60,315.08 in December 2023.

A single vehicle car accident resulted in a downed power pole on Clinton Street Saturday, Feb. 15. The power pole required replacement affecting electricity in portions of Dublin for numerous hours.
