The Dublin Chamber of Commerce and The Dublin Citizen partnered together for a City Council Candidate Forum Thursday, April 17 at The Station. Citizens were able to ask questions of the candidates through moderators from The Dublin Citizen editors Paul and Wyndi Veigel-Gaudette.

A confirmed EF-1 tornado touched down in Erath County Saturday, April 19 in the south east part of the county.A home was completely destroyed near FM 1824 south of Johnsville and fortunately the owners were not at home when the tornado occurred. Two families that attend Three Way ISD were impacted.

Dubliner Dalton Kasel continues to rack up the Professional Bull Rider wins as he claimed fi rst in Nampa, Idaho April 18 with an 88.5 point ride which was named the Michelob ULTRA Superior Ride of the Weekend. His team, The Austin Gamblers, also claimed second in the event.

Dublin sales tax collections were down significantly in February, -12.37% compared to February 2024, according to the state sales tax report released by Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.For the month of February, Dublin received $42,664.77, compared to $48,687.53 in February 2024.
