The Lingleville Cardinals and Lady Cardinals advanced their season records after wins over Brookesmith at home on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The Cardinals were 2-2 heading into this week after their 46-32 win.

The Dublin Lions basketball boys leapt into the season with an 81-76 away win over the Brownwood Lions on Nov. 14. “It was an intense game with a playoff atmosphere and a great way to start off the year,” said head Lions basketball coach Wes Grisham.

The Dublin Lady Lions traveled to Hamilton for the basketball tournament, claiming 5th place out of 16 teams. The ladies won against Abilene Christian Academy and lost to Hico and Gorman before being narrowly edged out by Zephyr. This tourney appearance followed a 48-34 loss to Santo on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
