Body

BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 62-68 degrees; 8.41 feet below pool. Black bass are in an early fall pattern. Catches up to 5.48 pounds are fair on jigs, and on crankbaits in 1-12 feet of water. Crappie are fair to 1.00 pound on brush piles and around the docks on minnows in 10-12 feet of water. White bass are slow to 1.25 pounds on crankbaits and small jigs. Catfish are good to 4 pounds on baited holes using prepared and cut bait.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 65 degrees; 0.19 feet below pool. Granbury is full and clear on the lower end. Striped bass are good to 10 pounds from Decordova to the dam on live shad and trolled Alabama rigs. Sand bass are fair to good on slabs near main lake points from Blue Water Shores to Ports-O-Call, be sure to look for the birds. Large blue and yellow catfish are good to 30 pounds on cut bait fished on the upper ends. Largemouth bass to six pounds are possible near main lake points on topwaters or crankbaits early on soft plastics later in the morning. Some largemouth are schooling with the sand bass and striped bass on feeding flats.

POSSUM KINGDOM

FAIR. Water clear; 64 degrees; 1.65 feet below pool. Striper are good and live bait is still king. The fish are slightly scattered but schools can be located in 20-40 feet of water. Sand bass are fair using small live shad, and small jigs with plastic swim tails are good to try. Some can also be caught trolling crankbaits that dive 10-15 feet in 30-40 feet of water. Chartreuse, white, and silver are good colors. Catfish are good using cut and live shad in 5-20 feet of water. Some fish are being caught using jug lines. Water clarity is steady at 4-8 feet of visibility.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 12.59 feet below pool. Weather is consistent through the weekend, but check the wind forecast before heading out. Bass should be biting rattletraps and crankbaits along deeper edges, with some topwater action as fish chase bait. Catfish can be caught on stinkbait or cutbait. Hybrid and sand bass are schooling biting slabs. Crappie are hitting minnows and jigs around rock structures.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 60 degrees; 7.38 feet below pool. Catfish are fair with a few catches on the rocks near the dam on cut bait or shad and juglines. Bass are slow on spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and worms moving into the creeks. Crappie are slow with a few keepers in the crappie house. A few undersized crappie are in the marinas.
