The Lingleville Cardinals basketball boys were sitting at 1-2 for the season heading into Tuesday’s game against Brookesmith.
The Cards started the season strong with a 46-14 victory over the Gustine Tigers at Gustine on Nov. 10.
The Cards followed this with a close battle against the Tolar Rattlers in which Lingleville was narrowly edged out 40- 36.
On Nov. 17 the Cardinals battled the Eastland Mavericks with Eastland winning 68-35.
The Lady Cardinals were also looking for a W heading into their Brookesmith bout.
They were sitting at 0-3 after a 67-30 battle against Cross Plains, a Nov. 14 53-19 loss against Tolar and a 62-14 defeat by Millsap on Nov. 17.
