GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 3.68 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 5.68 pounds on Hag’s F5 tornados in Blue flake on the ledges with shaky heads and on cranks off the rocks and brush piles in 12-20 feet around the mid lake to upper end early and late.

Families were split apart in the name of fun Tuesday, Aug. 20 as the Lady Lions JV and varsity volleyball teams played alumni in some fast, frenetic games.The decision to face alumni came after the original game with Poolville was canceled.

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals volleyball team was looking for a W this week following tough competition at Zephyr and the Poolville tournament.“We’re not going to shy away from our record and make any excuses,” said head volleyball coach Brandon Haught.

Waving his hat high in the air atop his rearing steed, the larger-than-life embodiment of the Texan Rider debuted Aug. 24 to a crowd of eager fans and distinguished guests gathered at Tarleton State University’s Memorial Stadium for the football home opener.
