Lions conquer Comanche

The Dublin Lions provided a great show to packed housed as they hosted Comanche in a 56-40 victory for the home team. Lions head coach characterized the win as a “big comeback” for his team.

Lions picked to All Central Texas Team

Seven members of the 2021 Dublin Lions football team were named to the All Central Texas Team by David Alan Smoak at Smoaky .com, ‘The Sports Authority.’ Selections were based on the impressive stats amassed by the players throughout the last season.

Lifters take top spots in Hico

The Dublin powerlifting boys and girls both claimed the top spots at the Hico Invitational Powerlifting Meet on Thursday. Both teams had multiple members increase on the total they lifted.

The Lingleville Cardinals and Lady Cardinals hosted Huckabay in home games Friday night. The Cards were sitting at 8-0 and #1 in district after beating Huckabay 61-41 and Three Way 63-16 on Jan. 25. The ladies were second in district with 7-2 following the 48-39 loss to Huckabay and a Jan.

Boys lift Gold at home

The Dublin powerlifting boys took gold as they hosted 20 schools and hundreds of lifters in the annual Dublin Invitational Powerlifting Meet Saturday. The Dublin girls also had a strong showing taking third as a team.

Lions honored for gains

Dublin Lions and Lady Lions were busy last week battling Brock and Bangs. The Dublin Lions slew the Bangs Dragons 70-46 in an away game Friday, rallying after a loss to Brock on Jan. 18. “Everyone played well and we kept it simple with our up tempo game, said Lions Coach Wes Grisham.
