Dublin Elementary School News

Wow! The month of February has flown by at Dublin Elementary. We have had an exciting month for students celebrating Valentine’s day with class parties. Students had fun snacking on yummy food and passing out valentines to their classmates. We also had a dress up day on Two’s Day, 2/22/22.

Dublin lifters claim medals

The Dublin powerlifting girls and boys continued claiming medals in appearances at Comanche and Hamilton. The girls took first place The girls took first place as a team in the Feb. 10 Comanche meet and second at Saturday’s Hamilton meet.

The 2022 Lingleville Lady Cardinals basketball team (10-2) claimed the Bi-District Championship Monday after defeating Morgan 69-21. The girls were set to face the winner on the Rochelle-Priddy game held Tuesday. The game was tentatively set for 6 p.m. in Comanche on Friday.

Lions headed to Bidistrict

The Dublin Lions are heading into the Bi-district playoffs Monday, Feb. 21 as they face City View (ranked 7th in state) at 6 p.m. in Mineral Wells. Coach Wes Grisham encourages all fans to come root for their Flyin’ Lions! This game follows a close 59-49 loss to Early on Feb.

The Dublin Pee Wee Basketball league ended its season Saturday with stands filled with plenty of parents and fans cheering on the athletes during the championship games.
