A Graveside Service for Grover Dean Orr, 101, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at West End Cemetery with Rev. Mike Hannah, and Rev. Mark Castleberry officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 10:45 A.M. Wednesday, prior to the service, at Lacy Funeral Home.

Shirley Meyers Byrnes

Shirley Meyers Byrnes, age 63, was born in Navarro County to Billy and Mary York. Shirley was raised in Corsicana, TX where she graduated from Dawson High School. She married James Meyers and she became the mother of 4 children. Christopher, Bridget, Jennifer, and Scott.

Walter “Gene” Eugene Whisenant

Walter Eugene Whisenant II "Big Paw" unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2021. He was born on July 12, 1944 in Dublin, Texas to his parents Walter Whisenant and Modena Fann. Walter married the love of his life Carolyn Ann Baugh on July 10, 1965 and together they had four children.

Nelda Hart, age 84, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021, in Abilene, Texas She was born on September 17, 1936, in Gustine, Texas, to Raymond and Doris (Perkins) Woolsey. On May 27, 1974, she was On May 27, 1974, she was united in marriage to Billy Hart in Brady, Texas.

Olene Mathis, 98, went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2021, at her home in Highland, Texas. She was born on November 13, 1922 in the Highland community to her parents Jessie Lee (Corbell) and Richard Edwin House. Olene graduated from Comyn High School in 1940.

ABBEY

Franklin Abbey, age 77, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, in Comanche, Texas. He was born on August 18, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, to E.W. and Fannie P. (Clawson) Abbey. On April 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Nita Bowdoin in Crockett, Texas. She preceded him in death on August 7, 2001.
