JONES

Melba Laverne Jones was born on December 15, 1934, in Erath County. She went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2021, at the age of 86. She was the eldest daughter of Bluford D. Christian and Clara Lucille (Southall) Christian.

She married the late, Winston Alton Jones, on October 27, 1951, in Dublin Texas and to this union 3 children were born.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Rodney & daughter-In-Law Gwinda Jones of Millersview, TX; Daughters, Cathy Kucharski & Son-in-law Randy of Paint Rock, TX and Paula Larsson & Son-In-Law Shane of Midland, TX; 7 Grandchildren, Teri, Will, Jason, Casey, Kathryn, Clint & Cole; 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.; Sisters, Dortha Turley and Hazel Ashcraft of Dublin TX, Sister-in-Law, Joy Compton of Nacogdoches TX, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Granddaughters, Christy Kelly and Nicole Larsson, Brother-In Laws, Billy Compton, Curtis Turley and Troy Ashcraft.

She had a passion for sewing & making crafts. Her greatest joy in life was being around her grandkids. She also loved her cat, Rufus!

She was a kind and loving Wife, Mother and Nanny. She will be missed.
