Wilma and husband Herman spent their entire married life in Dublin, for which she was most pleased... “no better place in the world.”

Survivors include two sons, two daughters-in-law, two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

She worked at the Empire-Tribune for 37 years, retiring in 1991 to take care of Herman after he had a stroke. During this time Wilma had many exciting times, meeting many important people, covering exciting stories and enjoying every minute of it.

They owned and operated Foust Lumber Company for 35 years, raised two wonderful sons and also the grandchildren. As she enjoyed reflecting on things of interest, she found everyday living to be the most important. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church, Herman had been a deacon for more than 30 years, and they both taught Sunday school.

The eldest son, Gail, is a retired professor of music at the University of Oklahoma and his wife, Jennifer, teaches in the Arlington Independent School District.

The youngest son, Mike, is a retired Lt. with the Stephenville Police Department for 32 years and is currently employed by Tarleton State University. His wife, Deb, is a homemaker. The grandchildren are Stacie, Steven and his wife Claire, and the greatgranddaughter, Charlii.

While she was working with the newspaper, she wrote a daily column, “The Dublin Doin’s”. She wrote historical accounts of Erath county which were picked up by syndicated publications, and are included in the History of Dublin.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Hall on June 7, 1997.

Wilma is survived by her children Dr. Gail R. Hall and Dr. Jennifer Hall of Norman, Oklahoma and Mike and Deborah Hall of Dublin, Texas, her grandchildren Stacie Hall of Dublin, Texas, Steven and Claire Hall of Gorman, Texas, his greatgranddaughter Charlii Hall of Dublin, Texas, and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A graveside service will be held at New Dublin Live Oak Cemetery in Dublin, Texas on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10 a.m.
