Fire assistance available; departments provide aid

Dublin along with area fire departments have had a busy week including a barn fire near Proctor. Fires throughout the state have been so prolific that Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced that the STAR fund is ready to help agriculture producers affected by critical wildfire activity.

Car, bike show Saturday

The 2nd annual Chrome for a Cause (Cars and Bikes Against Pediatric Cancer) in conjunction with the Rylan Strong Network is set to take place this Saturday in Dublin. For those unfamiliar with the Rylan Strong Network, the nonprofit works to aid the families and kids suffering from childhood cancer, named after Rylan Pruitt.
