Literature contest open to Texas students

The Texas Center for the Book has launched the 2020- 2021 Letters About Literature Texas contest, a program that invites students to respond to authors of books or poetry who have touched their lives. The contest is open to Texas students in grades 4 through 12.

City hires Secretary, covers costs

The Dublin City Council voted unanimously to approve Melissa Minor as the new City Secretary following an executive session during Monday night’s regular meeting.

Seniors in Need

Saturday morning (Nov. 21) offers the perfect time to pick up a holiday treat and support some neighbors in need. The Dublin Senior Citizens Center will be hosting a bake sale at the Dublin Farmer Market at Wright Historic Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

DISD talks facilities, incentives

The Dublin ISD School Board met for a regular meeting Monday and discussed several agenda items including Dr. Schneider’s upcoming Superintendent Evaluation and future construction projects.

Next week’s edition of the Dublin Citizen will be printed a day early in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday. Subscribers should expect to receive their copies on Wednesday, Nov. 25 while new copies will be in racks Tuesday afternoon (Nov.24).

Erath County officials reported 28 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Nov. 12). Twenty-one of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, two were from Dublin and fiver were from rural parts of Erath County.
