COVID Update

Erath County officials reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Monday night (Nov. 16). Twenty-seven of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, two were residents of Dublin and 18 were rural residents of the county.

Tarleton researcher uncovers fossil of new plant species

A previously unknown species of plant life has been discovered by Tarleton State University researcher Dr. Ryan Morgan and two former students.

Tarleton Counseling renews grant

The Tarleton Counseling Center has received the second continuation since 2017 of the Victims Assistance Grant — $221,520 for resources for students who have experienced violence.

Star Party now Nov. 20

The virtual star party, hosted by Tarleton State University’s College of Science and Technology has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 in response to anticipated weather issues. The free live-stream will originate from the observatory at Hunewell Ranch seven miles east of Stephenville.
