DeLeon Free Press The remains of DeLeon native Kayla Rice were found in Louisiana near the town of Vinton. Skeletal remains were found and identified as Rice and she had not been seen or heard from since the end of November.

The 2021 severe weather season is not too far away, and the National Weather Service and local public safety officials want you to be ready. The National Weather Service will be conducting a free, virtual severe weather training class for Erath County on Tuesday, March 9th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

FEMA aid available to Erath

On Monday, Erath County was among an additional 31 Texas counties added by FEMA to the President’s Major Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance in covering repairs and costs associated with winter storms this month.
Dublin city crews respond to a water line break around Highland Avenue and Mesquite that affected the water service to local residents including the nearby apartments.
