Halloween events slay this Friday

The Comanche County Historical Museum is inviting everyone to come celebrate area veterans with a luncheon Sunday, Nov. 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p. m.The menu will include braised beef roast with gravy, mashed potatoes; farm raised vegetables; a variety of salads and homemade desserts; tea and water.

DISD to get new roofs

Dublin ISD will soon undergo a major renovation project as all roofs throughout the district will be replaced.The school board unanimously approved awarding the district’s hail damage roof repair project to Coryell Roofing and Construction, Inc.

The Sound of Dublin performs ‘Shattered’ at the district contest Saturday, Oct. 18 at Art Briles Stadium. The band received a Division 1 and will advance to the UIL Area B 3A Marching contest at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton.
