Senior group grows from demand

Following sparked interest online, a group of 40 met Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Three Oaks Assisted Living as owner Bobbie Nichols sought input and proposed group meetings for senior citizens in Dublin.

DFTS earns $209K for Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Kids of Erath County are ultimately the big winners as $208,000 was raised for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Erath County with its annual Dancing for the Stars event held Thursday, Oct. 30 in the Tarleton Ballroom.

Council fires judge

The Dublin City Council unanimously voted to terminate Juanita Vasquez as municipal judge for the city of Dublin in a specially called meeting Friday, Oct. 24 with the announcement made Wednesday, Oct. 29 when she returned to the office.

Sound of Dublin makes history

Throngs of people showed up along Hwy. 67 as the Sound of Dublin band headed out to Denton to compete in the area competition Saturday, Nov. 1.The Sound of Dublin Marching Band advanced to the area fi nals and was the only South Zone Region 7 Band to make it into fi nals.
