SHERIFF’S REPORT

June 12 At 5:09 a.m. an intoxicated woman wrecked her vehicle into a tree on CR 408, deploying her airbags and bruising her badly. She was arrested for DWI. At 7:08 p.m. a head on two-vehicle collision occurred in Lingleville at FM 8 West and CR 417 requiring two air evacuations. At 9:50 p.m.

June 14 Caller reported that her lock had been cut off of her storage unit at the Central Inn Mini Storage on Patrick. June 15 Officers were out with an open door of a business. They searched and secured the building on Blackjack.

Twenty-one Dublin band members attended the Howard Payne Uiversity Leadership Camp on June 14-18. The camp covers all aspects of marching band with separate tracks for band members, section leaders, drum majors, and drumline.

Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council hosted an artist reception for quilt art by local artists on Saturday. Quilts included work by Dublin artists Suzann Thompson, Cindy Edwards, Steve Chambers and Elaine Fields Smith. The work is on display at the River North Gallery through Friday.

Dublin Band members earned high marks at the State Solo and Ensemble Contest with Grady Meador taking the highest Division 1 Rating for his solo trumpet performance.

Two scams target Dubliners

Dubliners are urged to beware of two scams that have been reported recently in the community. Dublin Police Investigator Nanci Wilson reported that the first scam is what’s known as a ‘money mule’ scam.

BROWNWOOD Water lightly stained; 76 degrees; 0.65 feet high. Largemouth bass are good with wacky worms, bladed spinners, crankbaits and swim jigs along grass lines, rocky shorelines, and flooded vegetation. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and near bridge pilings.
