Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center and STAR Council led local children in a free program Thursday at Dublin’s Little Authors. The program featured a presentation from Paluxy River mascot Happy Bear (posing above) about how to say no to unwanted attention and a bead craft led by STAR Council.

Ranger 500 raffle to benefit cancer battle

The local community is invited to compete for the chance to win a 2021 Polaris Ranger500 while helping a neighbor in their battle against Cervical Cancer. Tickets for the Red Polaris Ranger are available for $100 each and can be purchased at the front counter of Andy’s Tire Service.

Accident claims Stephenville woman

Tragedy struck Friday morning when a two vehicle accident on FM 8 (west of Stephenville) resulted in the death of Mayra Chacon. 46, of Stephenville.

Tourney to benefit DBSA/DVFD

The Dublin Baseball and Softball Association has drawn eight teams for its adult co-ed softball tournament set for Friday and Saturday at Dublin City Park. Games will start Friday at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event are going towards the renovation of the Rotary Field for the youth league.

Students prep for seasons

Members and instructors of the Sound of Dublin band program gathered this week at Dublin Secondary School in preparation for the 2021-2022 school year as they began to practice their marching and playing together.
