An estimated 100 people attended A Day in the Country at Highland Baptist Church over the weekend. Lots of fun activities were held and in honor of the church’s 118th anniversary, everyone was invited to dress in clothing from any period in the church’s history. Laura Kestner | submitted photos

We are already almost at the end of the 1st six weeks! This has been such a great start to the school year. We have already kicked off fall sports and they have represented Dublin well.

Lingleville ISD returned Tuesday from an even more extended Labor Day weekend after having to close its door for a large number of people exposed to COVID-19. “We had over 15 percent of our students out quarantining,” said LISD Superintendent Curt Haley.

A local man was among 101 individuals indicted last month in a cell-phone trafficking conspiracy investigation that was worked on by many federal, state and city law enforcement agencies.

Erath County Officials reported 393 active cases of COVID-19 in the county report from Thursday night. The report also indicated the reduction of COVID-related hospitalizations to 16 and that the number of COVID-related deaths since the beginning of the pandemic last year was 75.
