The changes being made to Hwy 220 and Hwy 67 may have travelers confused with the recent construction and changes made to the highways. Travelers to Glen Rose are advised to use caution when driving this route since Northbound Hwy 67 is now a one way accelerated lane.

New businesses are taking the place of old businesses depicted in photos of demolition sites and other construction around Hamilton. The Dairy Queen is receiving a face lift, while Hamilton Healthcare System purchased the land where Past Tymes resided.

Community gardens available at library

Community gardens are available in Dublin. Free garden space is available at the Dublin Public Library. This is the time to start a fall garden. There are raised bed gardens, gardening tools and nearby water.

Elementary Registration Aug. 5

Registration for PreKindergarten and Kindergarten for 2021 -2022 will be held in the Dublin Elementary Library on Thursday, Aug. 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Dublin Market Days return Aug. 21

August is a busy month, but keep the Dublin Market on your schedule. There will be a flock of vendors of all stripes, from gab and goods to goodies. We expect a selection of fresh local produce, fresh baked goods, and many sorts of jellies, pickles, and other treats.

MUSEUM MATTERS

People often ask who the artist was of the large portrait paintings in the museum. He was William “Ed” Bryan, a well loved Texas painter who lived in the Dublin area for many years. He was one of Texas leading portrait painters during his time.
