Deadline to File in City, DISD races Friday

The deadline to file in the May 7 city and Dublin ISD elections is Friday by 5 p.m. On the school side, the positions held by Pat Leatherwood, Anjelica Salyer and Bob Cervetto are up for election.

Citizen closed Monday

Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., a privately held national retail chain of craft and home decor stores, is opening in Stephenville, Texas on Monday, Feb. 14. The Stephenville store is Hobby Lobby’s 111th location in Texas.

When Larry Gandy graduated from Dublin High School in 1996, he knew he wanted to get out and see the world. So after a year of working in town, Gandy joined the Air Force. He was first stationed in Alaska, where he learned a trade: working on safety features of Air Force planes.
