COVID Update

Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 in Erath County in the most recent report Monday. The report also included a total of 121 probable cases of COVID that have gone unreported.

Grand Jury indicts 12

The Erath County Grand Jury returned 12 indictments on Thursday, Feb. 17.

POLICE LOG

February 7 A Reporting Person on Blackjack advised that her chickens were killed by a dog. The owner was found and received a citation. February 9 Dublin PD was informed of a flat bed 18-wheeler hauling pipe on Highway 6 East that was unable to maintain their lane. Two warnings were issued.

February 11 At 7:50 p.m. a white F150 truck took off the side mirror of a red dually on FM 847. February 13 At 8:23 p.m. a vehicle hit a hog about one to two miles South on FM 1702. February 15 At 3:58 a.m.

Comanche Chief The Comanche Athletic Sports Boosters, through donations from generous sponsors, recently donated $10,000 to the Comanche ISD Athletic Department.

100 years ago Feb. 24, 1922 J.W. Hoskins and R.F. Campbell of the Dallas office of the H.C. Advertising Service, an incorporated organization handling outdoor advertising for national advertisers, set up an office in Dublin to handle local business.

Six file for DISD races

Dublin will officially be voting on filling three school board seat in the May 7 elections. After filing ended on Friday, the Dublin ISD races officially consisted of: Challenger Dewayne Kolb and incumbent Bob Cervetto for an unexpired term.
