Purves Baptist to host rummage sale

Purves Baptist will host a rummage sale Friday, July 22 and Saturday, July 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p..m. each day. All proceeds will be going towards repairs to the church building. There will also be hotdogs and refreshments at the event.

Community Table in-person again

The Community Table at Dublin First United Methodist Church is now serving meals in the fellowship hall as well as performing deliveries. The meals are free to the community the last Wednesday of every month, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

One of the early service stations of Dublin was called Camp Dublin. Its opening was announced in the May 2, 1924 Dublin Progress. It was located at the corner of North Patrick and Clinton Streets. Dublin Dairy Queen is located there now. William Mayfield was the manager when the station opened.

Local cowgirl Kassie Mowry received international attention when she and her horse Emmet (aka Famous Ladies Man) claimed the 2022 Calgary Stampede Rodeo Championships on Sunday and set the record in barrel racing for the Canadian arena. She claimed the record after stopping the clock at 16.

POLICE LOG

July 5 A report has been made in the 200 block of North Harrell Street that a subject’s mail has been stolen many times. Officers obtained information that an individual with multiple warrants was at a residence on Courtney Street. Dublin officers and ECSO assisted with the call.
