Community comes together to Revitalize Dublin

Thirty members of the Dublin community gathered at 354 W. Blackjack Saturday, Sept. 23 for the first volunteer project of Revitalize Dublin, an organization striving for beautifying Dublin and consistent code enforcement within the city limits.

A pawsitively perfect grooming solution just recently opened in Dublin – Hound Town Grooming Spaw. The business recently opened in Dublin and is owned by young entrepreneur Kynlee Winkelman. The “spaw” is located at 112F S.

Rodeo this weekend

This week marks an exciting event in Stephenville history as the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo takes the stage at a new location. The rodeo is set for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22, and Saturday, Sept. 23, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept.

Police Log

There was a report of gun shots in the area by City Park in the 200 block of Highland. An officer in the area heard a gun fire off in the distance and went to CR 340 where there were several fields outside the city limits where dove were flying.

Fatality claims one

A young driver was killed in a single vehicle accident over the weekend. Tyson James Wofford, 19, of De Leon was killed in the crash on State Highway 16, 5.4 miles northeast of Comanche around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

Comanche Pow Wow this weekend

Comanche will be hosting its 42nd annual Pow Wow this weekend in Comanche City Park, Sept. 23-24. Pow Wow tickets are $5 per day, per person with kids five and under getting free admission. Most children’s activities are also free.
