Wrecks plagued the Dublin area over the holiday weekend including a fatality accident that claimed one life. On Wednesday, Dec. 20, all hands were on deck for an accident on the Dublin Loop and CR 351.

The Dublin Garden Club held the regular February meeting Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Perry Hall. Guest speaker was Carolyn Harbin with the Dublin Rodeo Museum. Carolyn is very knowledgeable about Dublin’s rodeo history.

TDA, USDA commits 11.5M to strengthen food supply

On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) has a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Departmentof Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) under the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program (RFSI).

Four appointed to Animal Health Commission

Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Anthony “T.J.” Klein and Johnny E. Trotter and reappointed Joseph Osterkamp and Wendee Payne, Ph.D. to the Texas Animal Health Commission for terms set to expire on Sept. 6, 2029.

Stock Show to start Monday

The Erath County Jr. Livestock Show starts early New Year’s Day, kicking off 2024 for kiddos involved in FFA and 4H. With the show starting Monday, letters were recently sent out asking for contributions to the Dublin Junior Livestock Buying Pool.

Blessings with a Badge

Despite overcast skies and a misty rain, spirits soared at the fourth annual Erath County Shop with a Cop event in Stephenville. The event held Thursday, Dec. 21, paired 61 kids with law enforcement agencies throughout the county and the state.

A camel looks toward Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus in the live Nativity held by Lingleville Baptist Dec. 15-17 across from the Church. The expanded tableau featured many performers, animals and sets as it chronicled the life of Jesus from birth to resurrection.
