Dublin City Council

approved several proclamations during the regular meeting May 12 including National Police Week, Public Works Week, Municipal Clerks Week, Library Week, EMS Week and International Firefighters Day.

FFA State Public Relations Team

Nicole Foster, Bailey Watson (not pictured) and NavaLee White earned 1st place District, 2nd place Area and 5th Place in State.

State Milk Quality Team

The team was comprised of Paul Adams, Aiden Bushman, Vanessa Pantoja (who earned 8th overall individual out of 231), Jayden Rojas (who earned 1st place District, 3rd place Area and 17th out of 61 in State).

Jr. Spanish Creed Speaking

Left, Rosy Calderon earned 2nd place in District, 2nd place in Area and was named as a State Semi-Finalist.

The team earned 1st place in District, 1st place in Area and 9th at State.

FFA Dairy Cattle Team

The team earned 3rd place District, 4th place in Area and was a State Qualifier.Members include Jitse DeBoer (who also earned 5th place District and 10th place Area), Ernesto Lopez, Caden Vanbebber and Bailey Watson (who earned 1st place in District and 4th place area).

DISD Retiree

Kim Leatherwood is retiring from Dublin ISD after 31 years. She has spent every year teaching at Dublin. She took photos with her family during the school board meeting.

DISD Retirees

Barbara Palmore is retiring from Dublin ISD after 31 years in education and Elena Caldera is retiring from Dublin ISD after 26 years in education. Photos of their retirement ceremonies will be featured at a later date.

FFA State Cotton Team

Cotton Team members include Dominic Dominguez, Ayleen Mendoza, Candy Rodriguez and Bailey Watson. They earned 11th out of 153 team in State, 4th in area and 2nd in district.
