Mobile testing site returns Today The free mobile testing site is returning Thursday (Jan. 21) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church (950 Glen Rose Highway in Stephenville).

Filing open in School, City races

Filing has opened for two City Council races and three Dublin ISD School Board positions during the May 1 General election. City Council seats up for election are those filled by Darrell Curry and Sammy Moore.

DISD renews contracts

The Dublin ISD School Board renewed contracts and settled the remainder of the retiring Dublin Athletic Director Bob Cervetto’s contract during the regular board meeting Monday night.

Liquor rules approved

Dublin businesses can now legally sell liquor following the approval of an ordinance by Dublin City Council in its regular meeting on Jan. 11. The new ordinance ensures several guidelines that have to be followed by any business selling alcohol.

Dublin sales tax rebounded in December, as collections were more than 16% higher in Dec. 2020 than Dec. 2019. This followed the only month in 2020 in which Dublin had collected less than the same period in 2019. (Collections were 5% less in Nov. 2020 than 2019.

The free mobile testing site is returning Thursday (Jan. 21) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church (950 Glen Rose Highway in Stephenville). The free swab testing is being offered as a collaborative effort between DSHS, TDEM, TMD, the RACs and the TX EMTF.

Erath County officials reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Jan. 14). Eighteen of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville and six were rural residents of the county.
