Relief Bill offers aid for Tarleton students

Included in the federal coronavirus relief package passed in December is more than $22 billion for higher education. For Tarleton State University, that means extra help for students financially impacted by COVID-19 and assistance with institutional expenses incurred because of the pandemic.

Tarleton gets $1.5M for nursing scholarships

Retired Air Force Col. Charles Leigon decided years ago that he wanted his legacy to include helping Tarleton State University nursing students. In fact, he gifted the third-largest cash donation in university history. Final steps were taken in early December when Tarleton received $1.

Erath County officials reported 42 new cases of COVID-19 in the report f r o m Monday night (Jan. 11). Twenty-six of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, three were from Dublin and 13 were rural residents of the county.

SBA re-opens PPP
