Weekly COVID Report - Nov. 26, 2020

Erath County officials reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Wednesday night (Nov. 18). Sixteen of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, four were from Dublin and 7 were from rural parts of Erath County.

Unique process cleans crop water runoff

Dairy manure is a natural crop fertilizer, and Texas A&M AgriLife scientists believe they have discovered a way to make sure that the valuable resource stays on crops where it is applied as a fertilizer, and out of waterways, where it is a potential pollutant.

Abbott announces vaccine plan

Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) today announced the guiding principles for Texas’ COVID-19 vaccine allocation process, which will serve as a foundation for the state’s initial distribution for COVID-19 vaccines expected as early as next month.

Comanche Chief The Comanche Chamber of Commerce released a statement that informed citizens that the “Explore Comanche Christmas” events have been cancelled this year. The Chamber came to this decision due to COVID-19 and the everchanging guidelines.
