BROWNWOOD

Crappie are fair on minnows in brush piles and timber edges near a creek channel or drop-off. White bass and hybrids are slow on slabs and trolling swimbaits. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait in 15-25’ near baited areas.

GRANBURY

Water clear; 42 degrees; 0.02 low. Largemouth bass are fair drop shots, shad like crankbaits, suspended jerk baits, and football jigs in 10-30’ near creek bends, rocky areas, and rock ledges. Crappie fishing is fair around boat docks with minnows. Catfishing is slow with cut bait and punch bait. Stripers are fair with swimbaits along the main lake channel in 35-45’.

POSSUM KINGDOM

Water clear; 52 degrees; 0.50’ low. Largemouth bass are fair working submerged vegetation with weighted worms and crankbait. Crappie are fair on jigs hiding under larger deeper docks and the shallow sands around the islands. White bass are fair on crankbaits upriver. Striped bass are fair on ledges closer to the rocky southern banks. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.

PROCTOR

Water lightly stained, 44 degrees; 0.45 low. Largemouth bass are slow on jerk baits, spinners, and skirted jigs in near deep brushy creeks, timber edges, and rocky shorelines in 14-28’. Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake around 30-45’. Crappie are fair with minnows in 14-28’ in creek mouths, timber, and brush piles. Catfish are slow on cut bait and prepared bait.

WEATHERFORD

Water clear; 47 degrees; 1.76 low. Largemouth bass are slow on football jigs, crankbaits, and finesse worms near rocky shorelines, creeks, fallen timber, and brush. White bass are slow in 20-35’ with slabs and heavy spoons. Crappie are slow on minnows around docks, creeks, and submerged cover. Catfish are fair on punch bait.

WHITNEY

Water slightly stained; 42 degrees; 3.26 low. Black bass are fair on creek ledges, main lake ridges, and drop-offs on jerk baits, crankbaits, drop shots, and skirted jigs. White bass are slow on the main lake channel with jigging spoons and slabs. Stripers are fair with live bait along the main lake river channel edges in 30-45’. Crappie are fair with minnows and lightweight jigs in 14-25’ timber near creek channels and brush piles. Catfish are fair on chicken liver and cut bait.
