Citizen closed for holiday

The Dublin Citizen will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday. The office will reopen Monday and no deadlines will be affected by the closure. The Citizen staff wishes everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving. — Citizen staff report

Dublin Elementary students and their families once again showed their support of their neighbors in need by gathering more than 1,000 items during the annual food drive.

Tarleton State University will close for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, and reopen Monday, Nov. 30. Several departments and facilities will have modified hours.   The Dick Smith Library on the Stephenville campus will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Erath County officials reported 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Nov. 19). Seventeen of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, one was from Dublin and 12 were from rural parts of Erath County.

Fishing report

BROWNWOOD GOOD. Water slightly stained; 67 degrees; 2.33 low. Largemouth bass are fair with jerk baits, dark skirted jigs, and spinners in 3-12’ near creeks, rocky shorelines, and fallen timber. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs in brush piles and timber near a creek channel.

Erath County officials reported 47 new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Monday night (Nov. 16). Twenty-seven of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, two were residents of Dublin and 18 were rural residents of the county.
