June 22 Reporting person called when someone rang his doorbell and when he opened the door no one was there. The call came from the 600 block of Hawk. June 23 A report was made for a semi truck hauling pipe that was passing in a no passing zone and running people off the road on Hwy 6.

Tarleton Athletics’ 30th Annual Perry Elliott Plowboy Shootout presented by First Financial Bank saw 244 fans of the purple and white enjoy a round of golf at Squaw Creek Golf Course Friday.

Community invited to free screening

The community is invited to a free screening of “The Light of Virsa,” a Christian epic produced by the Vining Sisters and scored by 18-year-old Erath resident Diego Campos. The screening will be held Thursday, July 8 at Tarleton’s Clyde H. Wells Auditorium. Merchandise will be sold from 6:30 p.m.
