Throughout his life, Richard Couch struggled with a fear of public speaking. Now an assistant pastor, he’s overcome his fear for the job he feels called to do. Couch married his high school sweetheart, Cathy Scantling, in 1970, when he was a junior in high school.

Dublin Library’s Tails & Tales continues

The Dublin Public Library Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program is underway. Readers can pick up a log at the library and record the books they are reading. Logs can be turned in between July 1 and July 31 by 2 p.m. for free books and a chance to win prizes.

Investigation closed on fire

Erath County Fire Marshal Tommy Shelton concluded his investigation last week into the fire at Dublin’s Dollar General and determine that there was no “incendiary cause.” This indicates that the fire was accidental.
