Santa’s on his way

Santa Claus is coming to town as Dublin kicks off the Christmas season with the annual lighted parade at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9. As in years past, the festive parade will start gathering at the memorial stadium (at 5:15 p.m.

Donations sought for Shop with a Cop

Dublin PD and all of Erath’s law agencies are asking the community to help them bring Christmas to kids in need during the second annual Shop with a Cop program Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray reported that the program has increased the amount being spent on every child from $150 to $200.

When heading east in the 1950s and 1960s, just as highway 6 curved there was an interesting collection of items on the right side of the road that was sure to catch your attention. It was Sam Strong’s Junk Yard. This particular junk yard had an amazing collection of metal.
