Run-offs underway

Early voting in the May 24 Primary Runoff elections started Monday with 211 voting in-person as of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. These run-off elections are set to decide elections that were too close to call from the March primary elections.

David Leatherwood, the mayor of Dublin and a long-time employee of the Dublin First National Bank, has lived in the Dublin area his entire life. He feels lucky to be in a place where his family is so rooted in the community.

Early voting in the May 24 Primary Run-off elections starts Monday. These run-off elections are set to decide elections that were too close to call from the March primary elections. Those who voted in the Republican or Democratic primary in March may not cast ballots in the other party’s run-off.

Rotary serves burgers as thanks

Celebrating the excellent schools we have here, Dubin Rotary Club cooked a hamburger lunch for all the teachers, administrators, custodians and maintenance personnel. While unloading the food we heard the excitement from everyone about this special gift from the community.

Nature walk Saturday

A guided nature walk along the Bosque River Trail in Stephenville is being held on Saturday , May 14. The program also includes learning the basics of iNaturalist, an app that uses photos to identify native species. It searches a database to offer suggestions of species from your area.

Adams fills surgery needs in area

Ryan Adams, MD didn’t take a direct path to his current career as a general Surgeon serving Erath, Hamilton and Mills County, but he feels it’s where his life was leading him all along. Dr. Adams has always been partial to smaller communities.
