Patrons of the Dublin Public Library have until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 to check out books, media and devices before the building is closed for renovations. Plans are to keep the library closed from Nov. 18-Dec. 8.

Kirby Williams acquired his career skill set before he even graduated from high school. Since he was young, he’d help his father fix the family car. “We didn’t believe in taking it to a mechanic,” he said. In eighth grade he started working on a dairy, learning the ropes of farm work.

I preached a sermon one time entitled, “The Bonnet Story.” It was based in the Old Testament, King James Version of the Bible where the priests were told to wear bonnets. Believe me, it’s in there. Six times in the King James Old Testament it actually uses the word “bonnets.

Weddings can be pretty solemn occasions especially when you have a family member who was like a second mother officiating the ceremony, witnessed by a large group of close friends and family and have to read personal vows (with a microphone!) in front of everyone.
