Dear Editor,
I’d like to thank everyone who made the Things Celtic Silver Jubilee & St. Patrick’s Day event such a wonderful success. Where do I even start after 6 years here in Dublin? Let’s start with Karen Wright, Luanne Leatherwood and Cindy Kennedy who greeted me on my first visit in 2018, their enthusiasm and love for this little town was contagious.
One of my earliest customers was also a talented musician, Christine Anderson; she and her daughter Robin have become the “house band” here at Things Celtic. The Dublin Economic Development Corporation and Penny Corona are a constant source of encouragement and growth for businesses in Dublin.
This year the weather was gloomy, but the good folks at Backwoods welcomed our performers, vendors and patrons to their spacious hall; it was great to get out of the rain and enjoy an afternoon of music with friends. Downtown merchants shrugged off the rain and kept their doors open for the hundreds of visitors walking on our wonderful new sidewalks.
I know I’ve left out many of the movers and shakers, also the quiet folks who keep things going from day to day; I haven’t forgotten you and I want everyone to understand how important you are to me and my business.
I’m looking forward to many more years in Dublin and I’ve already started planning for a bigger and better Irish themed event for 2025!
All the best, Lanora Davidson Things Celtic
