Dublin Lions clash with Coleman under the net during their first game of the Dublin basketball tournament Thursday, Dec. 5 in the Neff Gym. The Lions won that game 80-- 67 before facing losses to Huckabay (68-58) and Brownwood (73-64).

Lady Cards get W in tourney

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals faced a heavy schedule last week as they hosted Peaster before squaring off in the Hico tournament, where the claimed their first win.The Lady Cards put up 17 to Peaster’s 43 in the Tuesday, Dec. 3 home game.

Lions defeat ‘Dillos at home

Dublin Lions rolled past the San Saba Armadillos in a home game Tuesday, Nov. 26 as the green and gold took the win 60-48.Head boys basketball coach Wes Grisham attributed the win to strong performances of several of his players including athlete of the week Hunter Jones.

Dublin hosts DeLeon

The Dublin Lady Lions hosted the DeLeon Bearcats Tuesday, Nov. 26.Head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez said the home team had problem scoring points when they were needed and got edged out 45-39.Olivia Salyer led in Dublin scoring with 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Cardinals claim win

Lingleville Cardinals clinched a 38-37 nailbiter Tuesday, Nov. 26 when they traveled to Hico to take on the Tigers.“Hico played great, and gave us a hard time throughout the entire game,” said head Lingleville boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart.

Lady Cards fight foes

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals were looking for a W this week after tough fights with Poolville, Early and Millsap in recent weeks.On Tuesday, Nov. 19 the Lingleville Lay Cards put up 23 against Millsap’s 56.“It was a tough game against a good Millsap squad.

Lions crush Cross Plains

The Dublin Lions conquered Cross Plains 68-48 in a Tuesday, Nov. 19 home game on the Neff Gym floor.“It took us 16 min to remember how to play basketball and together as a team but we came back and put on a show defensively and offensively,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.
