Lions face close battles

The Dublin Lions won one and had several close matches at the Brady Basketball Tournament Dec. 12-14.“Our guys came together during the tournament and gelled with good team chemistry,” said head Dublin head boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Lady Cardinals fight in home tourney

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals took on Huckabay in a Dec. 10 away game before returning to the fight foes at the Dec. 12-14 home basketball tournament.The Lady Cards put up 22 to Huckabay’s 50 in the away game.

Lady Lions 2-2 in tourney

The Dublin Lady Lions went 2-2 in the home tournament held Dec. 5- 7.The varsity girls started in strong form on Thursday, Dec. 5, besting Goldthwaite JV 47-23. Olivia Salyer and Emma Vargas led scoring in the game with 12 each, followed closely by NavaLee White with 10.

Gridiron Lions earn District honors

Lions defeat ‘Dillos at home

Dublin Lions rolled past the San Saba Armadillos in a home game Tuesday, Nov. 26 as the green and gold took the win 60-48.Head boys basketball coach Wes Grisham attributed the win to strong performances of several of his players including athlete of the week Hunter Jones.
