Lady Lions fight Peaster in OT

The energy in the Neff Gym was electric Tuesday, Jan. 21 as The Lady Lions went into overtime against Peaster in a game decided by a few points.

“We went into overtime and stayed in foul trouble,” said head Dublin girls basketball coach Kim Perez. “They couldn’t miss a free throw. It was a tough one but I was extremely proud of the fight.”

NavaLee White led Dublin scoring with 12 followed closely by Emma Vargas with 11. Olivia Salyer, Wendy Calderon, Haden Keilers and Adriana Stewart had 6. The final score was 51-47 in Peaster’s favor.

The Lady Lions followed this with a long night in Comanche as many of the team were sick.

White led again as top scorer with 10. Keilers had 7. Stewart and Calderon had 5 each. Salyer and Adriana Rosalez had 3 each. Vargas had 2, and Derby Kukla had 1.

The final score was in Comanche’s favor, 91-36.
